Knockout Stage, Night 1
Despite the 27-0 winning streak for KlikTech, they started showing weaknesses in the higher stages of the tournament. Starting with their lose against Excel eSports, they proceeded to lose two more games in the Tiebreakers couple of days ago. However, it seems like the Balkan Boys got back on track in the first night of the knockout stage. They successfully defeated the former LCS team, Misfits Academy, with a clean swipe of 2 to 0 in a Bo3. They showed some character in the Pick’n’Ban phase, as well as in their performance, something that we did see in their last couple of matches.
The other series of this knockout stage night was played between Ninjas in Pyjamas and Penguins. Similarly as to the game between MSF and KLT, we saw another clean sweep, this time from the side of NiP. By finishing both games of the series in under 30 minutes, NiP promised us some hard-fought matches further in this competition.
